Chemical composition and protein quality (NPU) of safflower seed cultivated in Chile, were studied. Safflower meal, by product of the oil industry, was submitted to the same analysis, and also was screened through a 35 mesh sieve and analysed. Besides, the screened safflower meal was supplemented with 0,2% L-lysine; 0,3% L-lysine, and simultaneously with 0,2% L-lysine and 0,3% DL-methionine, and protein quality was evaluated. |
