About the journal
Chilean Journal of Agricultural Research (ChileanJAR) is the scientific journal of the Instituto de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (INIA), Ministerio de Agricultura, Chile, published bimonthly in English (February, April, June, August, October and December). It is indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded of Clarivate Analytics (ex ISI), SCOPUS, SciELO, and others.
Chilean Journal of Agricultural Research is an open access journal (since 2000 as Agricultura Tecnica and 2008 as ChileanJAR) that allows readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of its articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, according to DOAJ. The journal is available at www.chileanjar.cl, www.scielo.cl/chiljar. It is an electronic journal (Online ISSN: 0718-5839) and printed until December 2015 (Print ISSN: 0718-5820). Formerly it was Agricultura Técnica.
ChileanJAR publishes original Research Articles, Scientific Notes and Reviews of agriculture, multidisciplinary and agronomy: plant production, plant protection, genetic resources and biotechnology, water management, soil sciences, environment, agricultural economics, and animal production (focused in ruminant feeding). The editorial process is a double-blind peer reviewing, Editorial Office checks format, composition, and completeness, which is a requirement to continue the editorial process. Editorial Committee and Reviewers evaluate relevance and scientific merit of manuscript. Manuscripts should be electronically submitted through the Online Electronic System of ChileanJAR once the authors are registered. Papers should meet format requirements (MS-Word Manuscript Template) and items stipulated in the Instructions to Authors.

Publishing charges
Publication charge of papers accepted for publication is USD800 (CLP650000) until 18 typewritten pages. Extra pages USD50 (CLP40000). Full payment is mandatory prior to the publication of the manuscript.
