Data on yield, test weight, and rusts attack intensity marks, in the two regional wheat trials at La Platina Exp. Sta. (Santiago) are given. The trials were artificially inoculated with Puccinia recondita and P. graminis; P. striiformis infection was natural. Marks for P. striiformis varied from 0 to 40%; for P. recondita, from 0 to 100%; and for P. graminis, from 1 to 100%. Spearmans range correlations were: r = -0.71 and -0.67, for the sum of the three rusts and yield; r = -0.55 and -0.46, for the sum of the three rusts and test weight; also, partial correlations between marks for each rust and yleld and test weight are presented. Correlations between yield and test weight were r = 0.81 and 0.60. For each percentage unit increase in the leve) of total rust infection, yield decreased in 0.14% and 0.13%, when comparing the wheats in thethirdwith higher yields with those in de third with lower yields, in each trial, respectively. |
