ABSTRACT
PRELIMINAR OBSERVATIONS ON THE SUSCEPTIBILITY OF 12 POTATO CULTIVARS TO "|GANGRENE"| (Thecaphora (= Angíosorus) solaní)

A field trial measuring production and adaptation of 12 potato cultivars was planted at La Serena. Since the soil was found infested by "gangrene", preliminar notes were taken on the reaction of the cultivars to the pathogen. As the fungus was irregularly distributed in the soil, data on susceptibility might differ significantiy in the future.
Trails specially conducted for this purpose will be continued at La Serena, Chile.
