Bibliographical data about chemical compounds used as fertilizers were compiled in recent work with experiment in pots. It is described in detail the experimental method used to detect the nutritional deficiencies, approximately in 350 chilean soil samples, from Arauco down to Aisen, including both. The method we are referring introduce specially the following modifications: -Fertilizer carriers of phosphorus, potassium, sulphur, calcium and magnesium, are applied to solid conditions. -Ammonium Nitrate is given weekly as a nitrogen source, in solution of 0,25 Normal. -The rate of nutrition are fixed for their volume and not for their soil weight. -All the nutrients -except nitrogen- are added to the soil before sowing. The equivalent of 840 mg. P; 1055 mg. K and 420 mg. S by Kg. of soil is applied, to volcanic ash soil that characterize by their high capacity of phosphorus fixation. It is considered in this study that these rates grant a supply adecuated in those elements for 3 cuts in rye grass. |
