Forty German Merino lambs averaging 27,7 kilograms were divided into five experimental groups at the Estación Experimental de la Facultad de Ciencias Pecuarias y Medicina Veterinaria de la Universidad de Chile. They were fed rations containing 68-58-48 and 38 percent broilers litter and a control group fed alfalta hay for sixty days in a feedlet. The average daily gain (g) was 208-186-174-170 and 84, respectively. The broiler litter groups gained significantly more than the alfalfa hay group (P < 0,05). Feed conversion, cost per kilogram of ration and cost per kilogram of gain is shown. |
