Plant damage rating schemes have been widely used to evaluate host plant resistance. Several scales based onthe visible symptom ofdamages caused bythe Russian wheataphid, Diuraphis noxia (Mordvilko) have been proposed. However, these scales have been designed to evaluate the damage on individual plants. In arder to asses and compare the intensity of attack in different field crops, a damage rating 10 be used under natural condftions of infestation is here proposed and discussed.
